Folkamiseria is the pure essence of Folk in a real Rock key. Hailing from western Piedmont, Italy, in the last 12 years they perform their personal concept of traditional european and italian music toghether with original compositions in clubs and festivals. Their music is strongly influenced by several musical trends and bands: from Pogues to Gogol Bordello, from DeDannan to Jethro Tull.

In 12 years they perform in the best known folk and celtic festivals (Montelago Celtic Festival, Celtica, Busto Folk, Shamrock Castle, Fete de l’Europe, Vertanzt, Celtival, Abruzzo Irish Festival, Paddy’s, Folkermesse, Zingaria and many others) for more than 1000 gigs, published 5 studio album, one live album and took part in several compilations.

They shared the stage with famous international artists such as Inti Illimani, Edoardo Bennato, Modena City Ramblers, Fiddlers Green, Steve’n’Seagull, Carlos Nuñez, Folkstone, Dubioza Kolektiv, Kocani Orkestar, Skerryvore, The Rumjacks, Corvus Corax, Hevia, Alberto Morselli, Cisco, Celkilt, Here Be Dragons and many more.

Their live performance is a well-balanced cocktail of passion, dance, tecnique and musicality, hard to find in other bands of the same genre; that’s why a Folkamiseria’s performance is a chanche not to be missed!
